Elijah Lewis of Liberty County. Last Will and Testament dated January 24, 1804, probated March 6, 1809. He gives to his nephew Samuel Lewis certain slaves. Residue of his estate to testator’s wife, Sallie [sic, Salley]. She and Samuel Lewis to be the executors. Witnesses: James James, John Winn, Thos. [Thomas] Lanchester, J.P.

To nephew Samuel Lewis: “one negro man Toby, and Negro woman Sofey [alt: Sophie] and her child Phebe [alt: Phoebe] to him and his heirs and assigns forever.”
