State Georgia, Liberty County } In the name of God Amen.
I Susan J. Thomson of the State and County aforesaid being in sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say.
First. I give and bequeath to my son William G. Thomson all the real estate I may have claim to also the coloured boy ?Dydimus? [alt: Didymus] Dublin. I give and bequeath to him and his heirs forever requesting him to give the said boy a trade and treat him kindly.
Secondly. I give and bequeath to my beloved grand daughter Jennet [as in text, alternate spelling Jeannette] Thomson Delegal my servant girl Martha. Should my grand daughter Jennet depart this life without lawful heirs, then the said girl Martha shall become the property of my grand daughter Ann Elizabeth Delegal.
Thirdly. I desire that all the rest of my personal property be divided in three equal parts. One third to my son William G. Thomson. One third to my daughter Mary W. Delegal, and the other third to the children of my deceased daughter Elizabeth J. ?Hellyer? and the same to be appraised moderately and bought by one or both of my surviving children in installments. If my children refuse to purchase the said Negroes and they prefer going to my grand children they can be delivered to them. But if my children refuse to purchase them as aforesaid, and the Negroes prefer to remain in the County of Liberty they are to be sold to whom they choose as owners and the money given to the children of my deceased daughter Elizabeth J. ?Hellyer?.
Fourthly. I likewise constitute and ordain my son William G. Thomson and my son in law Edward J. Delegal Executors of this my last will and testament.
